In France and in Europe, prints are bought by an older demographic, primarily those aged 60 or above. In the US, though, prints are favoured by younger buyers.
In New York, black is usually the first choice, while brighter colours are more popular in most other places in the US.
In Europe, knitted fabrics are popular but in America the demand is more about wovens and polyester.
Checks and gingham are perennial favourites in the US market but tend to be far more niche in the UK or Germany.
