TRADERS TOY WITH SUCCESS

Let the Fun Begin On A Global Scale

FOR an advance look at what is hot in the global toys industry, and to make an ideal start to the buying year ahead, be sure to put the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair on your itinerary.

The Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair 2003 plays host to the world's toy industry at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from January 7-10.

Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC), Asia's largest toys fair attracts more than 1,600 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions and an estimated 28,000 buyers from 114 locales.

There are eight group pavilions from the Chinese mainland, Germany, Italy, Korea, Pakistan, Spain, Taiwan and Thailand.

The four-day event showcases a wide variety of products, from educational toys and games and battery-operated and electronic toys, to soft toys and dolls, baby toys and products, die-cast/mechanical toys and action figures.

Electronic toys and interactive smart toys are likely to remain two major sales areas, with toys linking to the Internet also becoming increasingly popular. Entertainment-related licensed products should also attract more attention.
