Camera & Special Purpose Bags
Specialised bags to suit all needs and budgets ensure that there really is a place for everything
Today's hectic world demands a seemingly never-ending supply of bags to safely store everything from delicate cameras and computers to mundane documents.
Whatever the requirement, however, rest assured that highly experienced Hong Kong manufacturers can meet your needs with high-quality, competitively priced products that look as good as they perform.
Making a myriad of special-purpose bags is Kit Man Industrial Co Ltd, whose range of popular items includes document bags and computer cases such as model L-0116.
A computer bag made of micro fibre, model L-0116 measures 35x30x9cm, features an inside zip pocket and soft foam protection and is available in black and grey.
Also in demand is model K-0069, a 34x24x3.5cm laptop computer pouch with de-bossed logo that is made of neoprene, lined with soft foam protection material and offers a colour choice of blue, green, black, grey or brown.
These computer bags and pouches are priced at US$5.50-12.00 per item depending on size and order quantity, explains Kit Man General Manager Monica Lai.
"We find that customers like our products because we try to use new materials for the bags, not only nylon or polyester but also garment materials, which has resulted in good feedback from our clients," she says.
Ms Lai adds that the next material the company will be working with is faux leather. "We are trying to use artificial leather PU for the computer cases," she reveals. "It is really a good development in our office line and the price will be lower compared with bags that are real leather."
Focusing on products for leisure and pleasure is Bola Trading Co, whose product line includes an extensive range of stylish backpacks and bags for picnickers.
In hot demand is model B446N, an insulated, 23x22.5x35cm picnic wine cooler bag set made from 600D polyester that features a main compartment for drinks and wine bottles, a section for glasses and three external pockets - two small side pockets and a central pocket for a cheese set.
Two plastic wine glasses, a "waiter's friend" bottle opener, cheese knife, cutting board and two napkins are included with the bag, which comes in standard colours of navy, royal blue, red, green, black, yellow, and cream. "Customers who order 2,000 pieces can choose their own colour," notes Manager Adelaide Yeung.
She says model B446N is popular because it is easy to carry and the style is fashionable and modern. "Plus the price is attractive with a low minimum order," Ms Yeung adds, advising that a company's logo can be either printed or embroidered on the bag. "It is good for promotional purposes."
Bola Trading also works with customers to develop their ideas, adjust existing styles, or come up with a new design based on customers' budget. "Communication and understanding customers' needs are very important, and attention must be paid to both service and quality," Ms Yeung maintains. "Our aim is to try our best to cooperate with our customers in all aspects."
Innovation and stylish design, with good quality and fine workmanship are also the key reasons that customers are attracted to Lap Shun Mfe Co Ltd's extensive range.
For example, model 61201 is a combination computer and camera bag for the professional or keen photographer that also converts to an ordinary backpack, and features padding that can be customised to suit the user's needs.
The bag is made of 1680D nylon with 420D ripstop nylon, boasts a waterproof cover and a computer compartment that can accommodate a 15-inch laptop plus slots on the sides for storing camera lenses.
"In addition, it has lens pouches, internal and external accessory pockets and a double cover design which makes it extremely weather-resistant and also protects the equipment," notes Sales Manager Derick Ng.
He adds that the features don't stop there, as the multi-use backpack that is typical of Lap Shun's products can also accommodate a tripod, and has ergonomic shoulder straps and a padded waist belt.
It measures 28x12.5x39.5cm and can hold up to three DSLR bodies, eight lenses, a computer, numerous medium-format cameras, or a video camera.
Model 61201 is priced at US$36 per item, Mr Ng notes. "We launched the product last year and it is selling very well in European countries," he observes. "It won a second-best-selling award under one of our OEM brands in Germany, competing against famous brand backpacks."
The company prides itself on keeping abreast of the latest trends. "We expect our military-look camera bags to be the next big thing," Mr Ng says. "They feature removable padded customisable camera inserts, front pockets for extra accessories and are made of waterproof denim."
Lap Shun introduces new, in-house designed products twice a year to meet the needs of its customers, who are mainly importers and wholesalers of IT and photography products.
This commitment to meeting client needs has made Hong Kong the first and only stop for smart buyers seeking the most stylish and safe storage bags available.
