INDONESIA: Clampdown on Child-Targetted Condensed Milk Products Announced

It is now illegal to promote sweetened condensed milk (and its derivatives) as nutritional dairy substitutes for children or infants. Furthermore, in line with a recent ruling by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan POM), such products are prohibited from featuring fresh milk or children below the age of five on their packaging/labelling and neither can commercials related to such products be screened during child-oriented TV programming.
