FOR more than a decade, EUT Marketing (HK) Ltd has bagged a significant portion of the lucrative market in finely crafted and high quality backpacks, shopping bags, briefcases and wallets.
"We specialize in manufacturing all kinds of bags in such materials as genuine leather, micro fabric, PVC and nylon," says managing director CY Choy.
The company wholesales and retails branded fashions and accessories. It competes on quality and price in bags by producing at its own factory in Guangzhou on the Chinese mainland. More than 200 workers at its 2,000-square-metre factory can produce 20,000-30,000 bags of varying materials, designs and sizes each month.
With its labels sold not only in Asian markets like Japan, but also in such distant markets as South Africa and Europe, EUT Marketing takes care to ensure that "quality in workmanship is maintained so its brand image is always upheld".
EUT markets its bags under its Hardy Amies brand, recognized by overseas and domestic customers for good quality and strong workmanship at mid-range prices. The company strengthens the brand's reputation by focusing on high quality in all marketing and communications strategies.
"This brings the Hardy Amies name to consumers' attention while ensuring our designs appear in the bag departments of leading stores like Sogo, Wing On and Citistore," Choy says.
In-house designers create 10-12 new collections per season. "We also welcome designs and product suggestions from clients," Choy adds.
"Our design team stays in close touch with fashion trends to ensure the products are creative and in style. The designers always create the right styles to meet price and quality requirements in our markets.
"All our products must undergo strict production supervision and quality control so our clients can be sure our bags are of excellent craftsmanship."
Strong workmanship and competitive pricing combine to make EUT Marketing's bags distinctive. "In addition, we are extremely prompt in dealing with suggestions or requests from clients and end-users. We clearly understand that time is money," Choy says.
EUT Marketing stresses quick order turnaround and prompt replies to all customer queries. Its leather bags are unit priced at US$12-25 FOB Hong Kong while PVC models are US$4-8.
For leather items, the company requires orders of at least 100 pieces per colour or style and a total-order minimum of 500 pieces. The minimum orders for PVC items are 200 pieces per colour or style and a total of 1,000 pieces.
"If clients can meet these minimum conditions, we can ensure a quick delivery schedule of 30-45 days after order confirmation," Choy says.
