Ladies' Fashion Shoes
Fashionable ladies' sandals in pink and green from Nisun Shoe Fty (China) offer a bright spring/summer feel
Since time immemorial, women have attached the greatest importance to fashionable footwear that subtly emphasises the lines and curves of the latest fashions in clothes. Hong Kong shoemakers are adept at keeping up with recent trends, producing skilfully crafted high quality fashion for the feet.
"We can copy any customer's design within two weeks" is the proud boast of Kian Chow, manager of C & M Shoes Co, a division of Centennial Chinese Technology Ltd. "We also have in-house designers, who study the latest international trends and produce designs for our brand names, Two-Mix and Le Modele."
These chic ladies' shoes are increasingly popular and are selling well throughout Austria and Eastern Europe, South Africa, South America and Canada, mainly to department stores.
"We launch new collections in various materials every season, but customers' own designs are most welcome," Chow adds. "For next summer we have created many strappy sandals, which are top fashion items."
Founded in 1989, the company produces 100,000 pairs of ladies' shoes a month at its 3,000-square-metre factory in Guangdong Province on the Chinese mainland, which employs some 300 workers. FOB Guangdong prices range from US$4-7 for a minimum order of 1,000 pairs per style delivered 60 days after order confirmation.
"We use mainly synthetic materials from the mainland and Taiwan and also often use novelty materials," Chow explains, adding that if C & M's customers want a special material the order could take "a bit" longer.
Canada is also a key market for Francas Enterprise Ltd, which sells its ladies' footwear in Japan and Australia as well, according to marketing manager Dobson Au-Yeung.
"Our objective for the new millennium is to promote our products to the global market," he reveals. "Our high-end designs bring the latest trend concepts of the fashion world to our customers, and we advertise our products in the most prestigious magazines and trade fairs."
Established in 2001, Au-Yeung claims the company has already earned a worldwide reputation for high quality and design. "Our shoes are made only of finest kid leather, obtained from Italy and Pakistan," he says. "We concentrate on ladies' footwear and produce 100,000 pairs a month."
The company's 50,000-square-foot factory in Dongguan on the mainland employs 200 workers, who produce minimum orders of 300 pairs per style delivered 45 days after confirmation of order.
"We produce our brand name Urban Soul, as well as working with customers' designs," adds Au-Yeung. "We provide FOB prices to customers on request, since it is often a matter of individual negotiation."
Global fashion trends serve as design guidelines for Shoes Gallery Export Ltd, which, says sales manager William Kwok, makes shoes for some famous international designers but cannot disclose their names.
"We also produce in-house designs and reproduce customers' designs," he explains. "Our shoes are made of high quality kid leather from Italy, the mainland and France but the price is competitive, with FOB Hong Kong prices ranging from US$15-22 a pair."
Shoes Gallery manufactures under the Sagittarius and Jesjimo brand names at a mainland factory in Zhongshan that employs 500 workers and produces 300,000 pairs of high fashion shoes per month. Minimum order is 500 pairs per style, delivered 30 days after order confirmation.
Kwok notes the 10-year-old company's best market is Europe, particularly the UK. "We have had big success in Europe, exhibiting in the GDS Footwear Show in Dsseldorf, Germany," he adds. "This is the biggest shoe fair in the world and we made many good contacts at this year's event."
This year is also turning out to be a boom time for Mega Perfect Development Ltd, which is enjoying a sales bonanza producing casual shoes in the Italy and England Euro 2004 and Brazil football team colours.
Popular with football fans in the 18-25 year age bracket, they are light and comfortable leisurewear and a great fashion talking point, maintains manager Alex Tsoi.
"These highly original designs come from our own designers, but we also copy customers' designs," he explains. "We produce a wide range of casual shoes that are hip and trendy for the young fashion market."
The company, which was established in 1995, has a factory in Fujian Province on the mainland that employs 1,100 workers and produces 300,000 pairs of shoes a month.
Mega Perfect uses PU and leather from the mainland to manufacture its own Raysys brand and customers' designs for sale in the UK, Spain and Germany. FOB Fujian prices range from US$4-7 per pair for a minimum order of 2,000 pairs delivered 45 days after order confirmation.
So put your best foot forward and fill your order books with stacks of stylish ladies' fashion shoes if you want to show your competitors a clean pair of heels.
