Chun Kei Ltd is one of Hong Kong's leading suppliers of silver-plated giftware, and enjoys good business for its range of baby gifts, jewellery boxes, picture frames and a variety of tabletop items.
"We provide high-quality products at competitive prices and with punctual delivery," exclaims Manager Serina Kwong.
"We also put strong focus on customer services to ensure a fast response time and a quality of ongoing service that is both professional and reliable."
Demand for baby gift items has seen this category grow to prime position. "One of our earliest customers, in Canada, requested us to produce a range of baby products that included a cylindrical birth certificate holder and photo frame," explains Ms Kwong.
"Our Noah's Ark baby collection is currently one of the best-selling series we have," continues Ms Kwong. "This range includes some lovely baby keepsake products, such as trinket boxes, picture frames, tooth and curl boxes, certificate holders and photo albums, and the series is most appealing to many customers because of its lovely appearance."
As the baby gift line grew, so the firm had to expand its capabilities to ensure being able to cope with the demand while maintaining supplies of other silver-plated items.
"Other lines, for example, include jewellery boxes, picture frames, vases in all sizes, candleholders, fruit bowls, and a large assortment of tabletop items," Ms Kwong says.
"In fact, we have more than 1,000 different items available in different finishes such as silver plate, anti-silver plate, matt silver plate, gold plate and pewter plate."
Among its latest items are the Prince & Princess Collection, which was launched at the October Mega Show 2008 in Hong Kong. "We have a strong design team in both China and Hong Kong which is dedicated in creating innovative products," Ms Kwong assures.
Noting that Chun Kei products have proved outstanding in their sophistication and elegant styling, Ms Kwong puts this down to the quality of the raw materials used and the sophisticated machinery. "Of course, we have skilled artisans and operators, too," she insists.
Current main markets are Europe, the US, Canada, the Middle East, South Africa, Australia and some Asian countries.
"We believe that Eastern Europe, especially Russia and Poland, are our best bets for future growth because their economies still appear to be growing," Ms Kwong feels.
"We want to keep a firm grip on our leading position in the silver-plated giftware industry. We will continue to supply a wide variety of high-quality products and strive to be daring in terms of the use of materials - for example, creating products made of glass combined with metal, PU with metal, and wood with metal."
Such dedication is sure to result in success for Chun Kei in the years to come.
