Everyone likes to receive a gift, especially well-designed corporate gifts that combine gratitude with functionality to provide a long-lasting token of a successful business meeting or big deal.
Fresh Source Int'l Co Ltd even lets buyers mix and match items from its large selection of hair and beauty care and home appliances. "However, buyers must remember that the minimum order quantity is 3,000 pieces delivered 45-50 days after order confirmation," says marketing manager Raymond Yeung.
Fresh Source's 30,000-square-foot, 350-400-worker factory in Dongguan on the Chinese mainland produces premium travelling kits such as the TS-01 hairdryer box set that comes complete with vanity mirror and worldwide electrical adaptors.
Yeung believes the similarly-equipped TS-03 lady's beauty travel set also provides everything the busy female business executive needs to keep looking and feeling fresh.
"The TS-01 costs US$4-5 per piece, while the TS-03 would be around US$5, both prices FOB Hong Kong," Yeung advises. "We export to Europe and the US, and can customise any item with the specific brand or logo required."
First impressions also count at Koon Hung Mfy Ltd, which manufactures personal grooming and travel sets that come in zipped PU cases that look like genuine leather. "Most popular are classic colours such as dark brown or black," reveals sales manager Grace Leung.
Each model can be made to the customer's own design and delivered within 40 days of receipt of order to such major markets as the US, Europe, Japan and Russia. "Our minimum order is 3,000 sets," Leung adds.
Buyers seeking premiums for globetrotting clients should check out ISO 9001-certified Totex Int'l Ltd, which manufactures rechargeable battery packs, chargers and travellers' plug sets.
Totex's latest range of handy travellers' plug sets includes useful features such as solid brass contacts, rubberised holders and plastic covers to avoid scratching other precious items.
The ACP-1 plug set, for example, will fit any electrical socket anywhere in the world, claims marketing manager Shoei Lam. "It costs US$3.95 FOB Hong Kong for the RoHS-compliant version and US$3.65 for the non-compliant model," she adds.
Equally useful is Totex's Wine Courier, which holds two bottles of wine and two glasses and can even accommodate chilly packs to ensure that the wine remains at a respectable temperature.
The Wine Courier comes with a shoulder strap and both the strap and case can be customised with a private label, Lam advises. "The Wine Courier currently costs about US$6 per piece FOB Hong Kong, but price depends on the quantity ordered," Lam adds, noting that delivery is four weeks after order confirmation.
Taking the tedium out of travel is the specialty of Mekosonic Enterprises Ltd, which manufactures the Meko 109A 7-in-1 travelling game set that costs US$5-6 FOB Hong Kong. "The Meko 109A comes with a variety of traditional games that appeal to any age, all packaged in a handy zipped set," explains marketing executive Vincent Yau. "It's an ideal travelling companion as it requires no batteries."
Mekosonic also appeals to space-age tastes with the Meko 189 radio-controlled travelling clock, which will automatically tune into a broadcast signal and adjust itself to the local time in countries such as the US, Germany and Japan.
"It costs US$4 FOB Hong Kong per piece for a minimum order of 2,000 items delivered 35-45 days after order confirmation," Yau says, adding that Mekosonic's Shenzhen factory is completely integrated and has all production facilities in-house.
Jetsetters will also appreciate the TRV-313 Voice Travel Mate from Genius Link Int'l Ltd, a hand-held machine that can provide an instant audio translation of 12 languages.
"For example, you just input in English and it will speak the translated words," explains project director Benny Pang. "The machine does not use a synthesised voice, but an actual voice that will even mimic the local accent."
Genius Link manufactures the Voice Travel Mate at its five-storey, ISO 9001-certified mainland factory that produces 30,000 items a month for sale in the US, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Japan, Australia, Turkey and Italy.
"The Voice Travel Mate costs US$16 FOB Hong Kong per piece for the RoHS-compliant version and about US$15 for the non-compliant model for a minimum order of 1,000 items delivered 55-65 days after order confirmation," Pang adds, noting that the TRV-313 is exclusive to several countries and is also used by the Cathay Pacific airline.
Travellers keen to safeguard their health will value the MomoKid portable ultraviolet sterilizer that takes just 12 minutes to remove all harmful bacteria, according to Davidcraft HK Co sales manager Benwick Ip.
"Powered by two AA batteries and fully RoHS-compliant, it costs US$4.50 FOB Hong Kong per piece for a minimum order of 3,600 items," Ip adds, noting that Davidcraft exports to North America, Asia and Europe.
Clearly, when it comes to great giveaways busy buyers can't go past the high-quality gifts and premiums produced in Hong Kong.
