Techworld Industries Ltd
|Millions of items related to power supplies for cars, toys, power tools, portable electronic devices and other products emerge from a massive factory operated by Techworld Industries Ltd.|
IN the world of electronics, nothing - from the most sophisticated devices to the simplest toys - functions without energy. Vast energy consumption and the benefits of regeneration for ongoing daily use create strong opportunities for makers of power sources.
Techworld Industries Ltd, an innovative producer of battery chargers, stresses the difference intelligent chargers can make by increasing recharge efficiency, thereby adding value to electronic products.
Ultra-fast charger model BC-101 is a breakthrough demonstrating the competitiveness of Techworld's engineering, design and research, says sales manager Jody Chau.
"This gadget has our in-house designed microprocessor control that suits frequent users of such portable electronic products as digital cameras and CD/MP3 players," Chau says.
"The invention is in response to the popularity of such portable devices that need a constant power supply. The charger allows fast charge within two hours and can avoid short-circuits," he notes.
A toy charger Techworld developed two years ago for remote-control cars is among the toy industry's most sought-after accessories.
"For the latest toy cars, battery packs are fully charged in one hour, much faster than the standard four hours," Chau says.
"In only two years, we have emerged as a leading maker of battery chargers for the global toy industry."
Ongoing investment in state-of-the-art equipment and technical know-how helps to distinguish Techworld.
"By applying new technological systems in various production sections, including the SLA system and CAD/CAM software in design, and SMD in production, we achieve faster product development," Chau says.
Such strengths allow the company to offer innovative designs to help lower costs and increase flexibility.
"Thanks to our one-stop computerized production system, applicable from product design to the final production line, we can minimize errors and allow customers to adjust their ideas during the whole production process," Chau explains.
"This sophisticated system enables us to capture quick orders and achieve on-time delivery."
The ISO 9001-accredited Techworld uses an IBM AS-400 computer system to manage the likes of accounting, order processing, production planning and control of inventory, material and quality.
"For more than 20 years, we have built a strong reputation and established close relationships with leading electronics companies, including Black & Decker, Argos, Nikko Toys and NEC," Chau says.
"Five years ago, we took another step by forging technology alliances. The partnership model put us in position to develop more advanced, but competitively priced, products suitable for our customers."
At Techworld's 2,000-worker factory in Dongguan on the Chinese mainland, typical monthly production is three million pieces for export globally. The models vary from low to high power, linear to switching, for diverse sectors like cars, toys, power tools and portable electronic devices.
Safety-approval agents, such as BEAB, JIS, VDE, TUV and UL, certify all Techworld products.
